Meta Platforms, Microsoft Corp. and Google are, for now, no longer part of an Illinois genetic privacy suit against Nebula Genomics that a federal court has transferred to Massachusetts.
The terms of use required for Nebula’s services mandate that plaintiff Antoinette Portillo’s suit be brought in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. The Genetic Information Privacy Act claim relates to those terms, and Portillo would’ve been aware through Nebula’s privacy policy that it shares information with third parties, the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois ruled Thursday.
