The talented O’Riordan brothers, two young kickboxers from Ballycullane, represented Ireland with distinction at the ICO World Championships in Swansea recently.

Dean and Jesse-James O’Riordan brought home two world titles and six medals in total, a massive accomplishment for such young athletes.

The siblings train out of the Pat Rockett Martial Arts Academy in Waterford under head coaches Pat Rockett and Clodagh Cullen, who is also the ICO President of Ireland.

They travelled alongside seven other talented Irish athletes to the World Championships earlier this month, competing across four days of intense international competition.

In total, Team Ireland brought home 19 world medals – an incredible achievement for such a small team – and the O’Riordan brothers’ results were particularly impressive.

Dean (10) is the K1 World champion and Full Contact World champion, as well as a silver medal winner in boxing.

Jesse-James O’Riordan (8) won silver in Light Contact and Low Kick, along with bronze in Full Contact.

The boys are dedicated members of the Pat Rockett Martial Arts Academy, training several times a week alongside their team-mates who also achieved tremendous success in Swansea.
