A male cyclist in his 20s was rushed to the hospital via trauma run on Sunday afternoon following a collision involving the driver of a SUV and a cyclist in Scarborough.

The crash happened in the Dorset Park neighbourhood, near Kennedy and Ellesmere roads.

Toronto police said they were called to that area at around 3:15 p.m. for reports of a collision involving an SUV and a cyclist.

Paramedics say they transported an adult to the hospital in serious, non-life-threatening condition.

The driver of the SUV remained on scene, police said.

Southbound Kennedy was closed between Progress Avenue and Ellesmere as police investigated, but has since reopened.
