Jennifer Lawrence is opening up about her experience with postpartum anxiety after welcoming her second child earlier this year with husband Cooke Maroney.
The 35-year-old Die, My Love star candidly recalled the intense fears she dealt with as a new mom, explaining that she constantly worried something terrible might happen to her newborn son.

“I just thought every time he was sleeping he was dead. I thought he cried because he didn’t like his life, or me, or his family. I thought I was doing everything wrong, and that I would ruin my children,” she told The New Yorker.
The anxiety got so overwhelming that Jennifer even found herself in tears while asking ChatGPT for breastfeeding advice.
According to the outlet, the AI responded with reassurance, telling her, “You’re doing the most amazing thing for your baby. You’re such a loving mother.”
Jennifer began taking a newer FDA-approved postpartum depression medication called Zurzuvae, noting that it has helped significantly with her symptoms.
The Oscar winner married Cooke, 41, in October 2019. They also share a son, Cy, who was born in 2022.
