The TTC has announced that it will delay track work on Line 1 if the Blue Jays make it to Game 7 in the World Series.
Six extra trains are running on Line 1, with another three on Line 2 in order to help fans get to the Rogers Centre, the TTC announced on its website.
However, there is track work planned for Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 on Line 1 between St George and St Andrew stations. There will be no shuttle buses but Wheel-Trans will be available, the transit commission said on its website.
However, if Canada’s team makes it to Game 7 against the L.A. Dodgers, then that track work will be delayed in order to facilitate fans getting to the game.
In the case of track work, and Canadian baseball fans’ disappointment, the TTC recommends using Bloor-Yonge Station to connect to Line 1, instead of St George.
Otherwise, riders can take the 506 streetcar from Queen’s Park to College station. The 94 Wellesley bus connects to Wellesley Station and travels between Ossington and Castle Frank stations. From St Patrick Station, the 505 streetcar runs east to Dundas Station and the 501 streetcar runs east from Osgoode Station to Adelaide Street where customers can walk south to King or north to Queen Station.
The TTC says that in the event of the World Series not making it to Game 7, regular service will resume on Line 1 by Nov. 3.
