The future of British boxing shone brightly during the weekend of October 24–26, 2025, with the celebration of The Counties Box Cup.
This amateur tournament, supported and sanctioned by the WBC Amateur (the non-professional boxing committee of the World Boxing Council), established itself as a crucial platform for the development of the next generation of boxing talent in the United Kingdom.
Held at The Beacon Centre, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, the event attracted hundreds of young boxers, from across the country and beyond. Over three days of intense competition, the tournament offered a high-level competitive environment, essential for amateur athletes to gain experience and demonstrate their skills in the ring.
The tournament featured multiple weight and age categories for both male and female athletes, highlighting the WBC Amateur’s commitment to fostering equal opportunities and the growth of the sport at all levels.
The participation of the WBC Amateur underscores the organization’s dedication to nurturing the base of global boxing. Support for tournaments like The Counties Box Cup ensures that young talents have a clear path for progression, following the safety and sportsmanship standards of the World Boxing Council.
The event focused not only on competition but also on the fundamental values of boxing: discipline, respect, and perseverance. The success of this edition of the Box Cup has reaffirmed its position as one of the most prestigious events on the UK’s amateur boxing calendar.
The WBC congratulates all participants, coaches, and organizers on the success of the event and looks forward to continuing its collaboration to boost boxing in the United Kingdom.
