There was a heel turn to end the championship main event match during tonight’s October 28 episode of WWE NXT.
The main event of NXT tonight saw the TNA Knockouts World Championship put on the line, as Kelani Jordan defended the title against Jordynne Grace.
Over the past few weeks, and even months, Jordan has been showing a more aggressive side of herself and teases of a heel turn, but had never really outright committed.
Her attitude and behavior even recently led to the rest of the women’s locker room kicking her out so she had to get ready somewhere else.
On tonight’s WWE NXT on the CW Network, she finally cemented herself as a heel.
During the Jordan vs Grace match, Trick Williams and Ricky Saints, who had been brawling periodically all night, got into a fight that took them into the arena and even into the ring in the middle of the match.
This distracted the referee, who tried to help everyone else in restoring order and separating Williams and Saints.
With the referee’s back turned, Jordan got hold of the TNA Knockouts World Championship belt and struck Grace with it, before pinning her as the referee turned around to score the win.
WWE NXT announcer Vic Joseph described it as Jordan “finally showing her true colors,” again cementing that this was her ‘official’ turn.
After the match, Williams and Saints continued brawling, with General Manager Ava coming out and announcing there’ll be a Last Man Standing match between them in two weeks.
