Ahead of the upcoming exhibition boxing bout between Jake Paul and Gervonta “Tank” Davis, Netflix released a hype trailer on Wednesday.

The trailer shows highlights of both Paul and Davis fighting and training, while various people debate who is going to come out on top in the unique matchup.

Given that Paul is a 6’1″ heavyweight and Davis is a 5’5″ lightweight, the fight will be contested at a catchweight, and it will not be an official bout that goes on the records of the respective boxers.

Since making his pro boxing debut in 2020, Paul has taken the sport by storm. While he has often been criticized for a low level of competition primarily made up of former MMA fighters, Paul has enjoyed a great deal of success.

His 12-1 record includes victories over legitimate boxers such as Andre August, Ryan Bourland and Julio César Chávez. He also beat legendary heavyweight Mike Tyson last year, although Tyson was 58 years old at the time of the fight and it was his first official boxing match since 2005.

Davis is the reigning WBA lightweight champion, and he is widely regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world.

The 30-year-old previously held a perfect 30-0 record with 28 wins by way of knockout, but he experienced his first blemish in March.

Davis fought Lamont Roach Jr. to a controversial majority draw, although it was widely believed that Davis should have lost the fight since Roach was not credited with a knockdown when he should have been.

That means Davis is entering his fight with Paul on something of a low note, as the Roach fight represented arguably the worst performance of his pro career.

Davis is a far more accomplished boxer than Paul, though, and it isn’t outside the realm of possibility to think he could come out on top despite the size disparity.

Every question will be answered on Nov. 14 when Paul and Davis clash at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, as part of a card that will stream live on Netflix.
