Fernie Old School Boxing Club is giving donations to 11 community groups and organizations.
The Club is giving proceeds from its Judgement Night Charity Boxing event to the Fernie Heritage Trust Society, Nell Smith Memorial Fund, Fernie Minor Baseball, Elk Valley Suicide Task Force, Angel Flight, Twin Meadow Animal Rescue Society, Fernie Friends for Friends, Elk River Alliance, Fernie Search and Rescue, 3300 Club and The Army Cadets.
The Club hosted Judgement Night in May at the Fernie Indoor Arena. The event was established 15 years ago in 2010, and marked its seventh series this year.
Head coach and president Mike Johnson stated the event has grown to be one of the most popular fundraising events in Fernie, and has regularly sold out in recent years.
The Club saw nearly 1,000 people attend at The Memorial Arena this year, double to what they had in previous years when the event was hosted at the Fernie Community Centre.
The Club extends a heartfelt thank you to competitors, sponsors, volunteers, boxers, and spectators.
