“Suite 11” — No. 2 on the original fiction list — is a sequel of sorts, with the character Lo Blacklock from the earlier book heading to Switzerland to write a profile of a billionaire. Instead she ends up in “a cat-and-mouse pursuit across Europe,” to quote the book blurb.
Then there’s Lisa Jewell‘s “Don’t Let Him In” at No. 3, in which a woman starts dating a friend of her late husband’s who is not at all what he appears to be.
Meanwhile, Bianca Marais‘s “A Most Puzzling Murder” has spent several weeks on the Canadian fiction list. And it is indeed a puzzler, according to HarperCollins, one interspersed with riddles and set in a castle on an island.
And speaking of mysteries, this week’s mystery list is a testament to the popularity of Freida McFadden: seven of the 10 books on the list are hers.
