Fulham are reportedly ready to make a formal approach for Chelsea’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, while they are also keeping tabs on another member of Enzo Maresca’s squad.
Fulham are reportedly prepared to make an approach for Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, while they have also been credited with an interest in Blues winger Raheem Sterling.Â
Dewsbury-Hall appears to be heading for the exit door, just a year after following Enzo Maresca from Leicester City.
The 26-year-old was a regular fixture in Chelsea’s Conference League squad, but he had to settle for just two starts in 13 Premier League appearances last term.
There is no obvious route for Dewsbury-Hall to increase his playing time at Stamford Bridge, with the midfielder facing competition from Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Romeo Lavia, Dario Essugo and Andrey Santos.
As a result, he will have to look elsewhere if he has ambitions of playing regular football in the upcoming season.Â
Fulham readying Dewsbury-Hall approach
A recent report claimed that Chelsea’s West London neighbours, Fulham, have emerged as a potential suitor for Dewsbury-Hall.
According to Sky Sports News, Fulham are ready to make a ‘formal approach’ to Chelsea over a move for the former Leicester man.
The Cottagers are keen to make swift progress in their transfer business, with Marco Silva still waiting to make his first signing of the summer.
The report claims that Fulham are also in talks with Arsenal over a deal for Reiss Nelson, who spent last season on loan at Craven Cottage.
Fulham keeping tabs on Sterling
In addition to Nelson, Fulham appear to be considering Chelsea’s Sterling as another contender to bolster Silva’s wide options.
The Cottagers are keen to sign a winger to replace Willian following his departure at the end of last season.Â
Fulham are said to be ‘keeping an eye’ on Sterling, but any move for the 30-year-old could be put off until later in the summer window.
Sterling is searching for a new club after returning to Chelsea from his recent loan spell with Arsenal.
The former Manchester City star could be given the chance to play overseas, amid reported interest from German side Bayer Leverkusen and Serie A champions Napoli.Â
