Manchester United wanted a new striker this summer and Ineos identified Benjamin Sesko as a future star.

So far this season, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha have stolen headlines for their incredible starts to the season at Manchester United.

Praise for the attacking duo is well deserved, but Benjamin Sesko has gone under the radar for how well he has performed following his £66m move in the summer.

Gary Neville’s criticism of Sesko was unjust. The Slovenian is already off the mark in the Premier League in terms of goals, but it is his all-round performances which have caught the eye of fans.

United supporters are delighted with Sesko so far, and there are signs that he can become an elite striker for the Red Devils.

Since arriving in the Premier League, Amorim has called for more physicality in his team after being wowed by the sheer strength of teams in the division.

Sesko stands at 6ft 6in, meaning United now have a target to hit with long passes and crosses.

United fans have already gotten a glimpse of Sesko’s incredible jumping ability. The Slovenian grew up playing basketball and it shows on the pitch. Sesko’s arrival immediately upgraded United’s set-piece threat and has added a new dynamic in attack.

On top of his height and physicality, Sesko has a top speed of 35.47 km/h which ranks him as one of the fastest in United’s squad.

He ticks every box about being physically capable of competing in the Premier League.

Benjamin Sesko’s mentality is elite

United fans have seen far too many promising players arrive at Old Trafford and flop over the past decade.

Ultimately, being able to cope with United’s media spotlight is something required of every player in the squad.

Thankfully, Amorim has been wowed by Sesko and his attention to detail. The Slovenian has been barraging staff with questions and has a real determination to improve himself.

Sesko’s former coaches praised his character, highlighting his drive to improve himself. It’s exactly the type of player that Amorim will want in and around the dressing room.
