RedMagic just made its flagship smartphone globally available as the RedMagic 11 Pro. It might come a bit confusing for anyone following the tech news because this newly announced model is identical to the RedMagic 11 Pro+ in China.

This gaming phone packs impressive specs and some industry-firsts. The RedMagic 11 Pro is the first mass-produced phone with liquid cooling.

The solution is called AquaCore, and it’s even incorporated into the design of the phone – you can see the cooling in action on the back of the phone in the two transparent finishes – Nightfreeze and Subzero. There’s a third, non-transparent model, which is a black one called Cryo.

The RedMagic 11 Pro has the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 on tap, but also features the in-house RedCore R4 chip. The two, coupled with the LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.1 Pro storage, enable niceties such as super resolution frame interpolation, better touch response, and 33% lower latency.

The Snapdragon SoC offers up to 4.6GHz CPU frequency, up to 1.2GHz GPU frequency, and a 37% faster NPU, compared to the previous RedMagic flagship.

It’s paired with either 12GB, 16GB, or 24GB of RAM.

RedMagic says that the vapor chamber on its 11 Pro is the largest in the world at 13,116 mm². Add to that the liquid metal layer, the active liquid cooling, and the 24,000 RPM active fan, and the RedMagic 11 Pro should offer some impressive sustained performance.

RedMagic says that its phone beats the iPhone 17 Pro Max in a head-on gaming test, sporting higher average fps (60.9fps vs 59.6fps), better frame rate variance (0.5fps vs 6.5fps), and consuming less battery while gaming (27% vs 49%).

The rest of the specs are pretty impressive. Upfront is a 6.85-inch 144Hz AMOLED with an uninterrupted surface area, thanks to the latest-gen under-screen camera – a 16MP unit.

The phone has a 7,500mAh battery with 120W wired and 80W wireless charging. There are two 50MP cameras on the back – a wide-angle and a fixed-focus ultrawide..
