The highly anticipated boxing match between influencer turned pro-boxer Jake Paul and Gervonta “Tank” Davis has been canceled, Netflix and fight promoter Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) announced Monday night. The event was scheduled for Friday, Nov. 14, at Miami’s Kaseya Center, Variety reports.

The cancellation comes in the wake of a lawsuit filed against Davis last week. According to ESPN, Davis’s ex-girlfriend Courtney Rossel accused the boxer of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Representatives for Davis did not respond to a request for comment.

“Our team has worked closely with all parties to navigate this situation responsibly,” MVP CEO Nakisa Bidarian said in a statement Monday. “While we will not be moving forward with this event, our plan still remains for Jake Paul to headline an event on Netflix in 2025.”

According to Variety, the match was set to be live-streamed worldwide on Netflix, following the streaming service’s success with Paul’s previous fight.

Last year, Netflix streamed Paul’s record-breaking bout against Mike Tyson. Netflix said the event drew an estimated average audience of 108 million live viewers globally, which makes it the most-streamed sporting event to date, the report said.

Bidarian said details regarding a new date, location, Paul’s opponent and additional fights on the card will be shared once they are finalized, the Variety report said.

Fans who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster for the Paul vs. Davis fight will receive automatic refunds through their original point of purchase within 14-21 days, according to MVP.
