In just a few short months, Alexandra Saint Mleux has become the hottest “WAG” (a.k.a., wives and girlfriends of athletes) of the moment. Over the weekend, she and Formula 1 star Charles Leclerc announced their engagement after more than two years of dating. “Mr². & Mrs. Leclerc,” the pair wrote alongside a photo of them cuddling Leo, the dog they share together. Well-wishers in the comments section include Sofia Richie Grainge, who wrote, “I’m way too excited,” and fellow F1 Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton, who shared his own congratulatory message.
Leclerc and Saint Mleux made their first public appearance as a couple during the 2023 Wimbledon tennis championships, where they sat by fellow F1 driver Pierre Gasly and his girlfriend Francisca Gomes. Fastforward to May 2024, when Leclerc won the Monaco Grand Prix for the first time: Saint Mleux was by his side—and also briefly in her then-boyfriend’s YouTube vlog of the race.
So who is the influencer that has captured Leclerc’s heart? With her chic, luxurious style, trips to the other side of the world with her other half (five years her senior at age 28) passion for art, and of course last weekend’s proposal, Saint Mleux has built a sizable social media brand. Although her Instagram was private for some time, in June 2024, Saint Mleux made her page public, and has now amassed more than 3 million followers on Instagram. On TikTok, she makes short fashion videos and beauty tutorials that her almost two million followers avidly consume, won over by elegant minimalist style. Of course, Leo, makes a few appearances. However, she remains very discreet about sharing her inner circle and close family.
Given Saint Mleux’s success as a content creator, major brands have taken notice. She was used in an advertising campaign for Hailey Bieber’s beauty empire Rhode, while French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus invited her to his fashion week runway show last June. Recently, Saint Mleux even found her way onto the cover of the Mexican edition of Elle magazine.
