There are three baby elephants at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust whose behavior is strikingly similar to that of The Three Stooges. Although their names are not Larry, Moe, and Curly, these playful young pachyderms have the comedy routine down to a science.

In a recent Instagram video posted by @sheldricktrust, the Umani herd babies are up to their old tricks again—this time resembling dominoes, where one takes a tumble and the other two follow right after.

Lenny, Sulwi, and Ziggy aren’t rescued elephants, but their mothers were. The trio now live under the watchful eyes of the caretakers at the Trust as their moms continue the process of fully reintegrating into the wild. In the clip it’s clear that these three are only interested in one thing—playtime and getting dirty!

Lenny, the jokester, is on the ground—and although it looks like he’s being pinned down by his friends, it’s clear he’s loving this wrestling session just as much as the others. Zigi, the smaller of the two standing elephants, may be little, but he’s mighty! Sulwe, the larger one standing next to Zigi, teams up with him to give Lenny more than he bargained for when he started his playtime antics.

There are plenty of snorts and playful posturing among the trio, and although they aren’t siblings, they certainly act like it!

Kiasa, an older female elephant standing nearby, is the group’s gentle nanny. She seems to be watching closely—just to make sure that things don’t get too rowdy, or perhaps she just wants to see how this adorable wrestling match will play out.

One commenter said “Oh my goodness! These three… I can watch this forever. They’re growing so quickly. I hope we have a few more like this soon to keep the baby tumbling going!” We couldn’t agree more! Hopefully, the next round of mommies and babies will be close in age too, so we can watch them grow up together.
