ITHACA, N.Y. — Cornell women’s soccer senior defender Izzy Scott earned Second Team All-Ivy honors, as announced by the Ivy League on Wednesday afternoon (Nov. 5), marking one of four Big Red players to receive All-Ivy distinctions this season.

Senior midfielder Abigail Bishara and junior forward Alanna Colbert both received All-Ivy Honorable Mention, while junior midfielder Brooke Brown was named Cornell’s representative on the Academic All-Ivy list.

Scott was a key presence on the Big Red’s back line this season, helping Cornell allow just 9.9 shots per game over 16 contests. The Austin, Texas, native also contributed offensively, scoring her first career goal in the Big Red’s 4-0 victory over Lafayette on Oct. 7.

Bishara earned All-Ivy recognition for the second consecutive season, following her Second Team selection a year ago. She started 14 of 16 matches and logged a team-leading 1,266 minutes, finishing the season with three points, including an assist against Colgate (Aug. 24) and a goal against Harvard (Oct. 4).

Colbert made an impact in just 12 appearances, scoring against Colgate (Aug. 24) and delivering the game-winning goal just 56 seconds into Cornell’s 1-0 victory over Yale (Sept. 27).

Brown, an economics major, earned Academic All-Ivy honors after finishing tied for second on the team in points (five), recording two goals and one assist. She scored against Kent State (Aug. 31) and tallied a goal and assist against Penn (Oct. 18), earning Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week honors on Oct. 20.
