All-star guard Darius Garland is expected to make his season debut against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, head coach Kenny Atkinson told reporters hours before the game.

Garland had surgery on a big toe injury in June after it held him out for the final two games of the regular season and for four playoff games.

The 25-year-old averaged 20.6 points, 6.7 assists and 2.9 rebounds and made his second all-star team last season.

Cleveland led the Eastern Conference with a 64-18 record in 2024-25, but was eliminated by the Indiana Pacers in five games in Round 2.

Former all-star centre Jarrett Allen is also set to return, according to Atkinson, after missing two games with a non-displaced finger fracture he sustained against the Boston Celtics on Oct. 29.

Guard is also amongst the injured Cavaliers ready to return after missing Clevelands last three games with a hip injury.

Despite having missed the third-most player games to injury this season, the Cavaliers have still managed to get out to a 4-3 start.
