AEW Star Medically Disqualified From Blood & Guts, Replacement Announced

AEW

AEW President Tony Khan has announced that an AEW star has been medically disqualified from Blood & Guts, with their replacement announced.

The first ever Women’s Blood & Guts match is set to take place on next week’s special episode of AEW Dynamite, with the teams for the match now confirmed.

The match will see Jamie Hayter, ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm, Queen Aminata, Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron face off with Mercedes Mone, Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir and the Triangle of Madness.

However, an injury has now caused a late change to the line up, including for tonight’s AEW Dynamite show.

On tonight’s show, advantage matches are set to take place to determine which team gets the advantage in the matches, which included a planned match between Megan Bayne and Queen Aminata.

Taking to Twitter ahead of tonight’s Dynamite show, Tony Khan announced that Queen Aminata has suffered an injury, with her being medically removed from both tonight’s advantage match and next week’s Blood & Guts match.

Instead, Mina Shirakawa will face Megan Bayne on tonight’s show, as well as replacing Aminata in the Blood & Guts match.
