BURLINGTON, Vt. — The Bryant University women’s soccer team battled hard but came up short in the America East semifinals, falling to Vermont, 3–1, on Thursday night.

Bryant struck first in the 19th minute when Colleen Ardolino leaned into the ball in a corner from Madison Luke to give the Bulldogs an early 1–0 lead. Vermont responded seconds before halftime, as Lauren DeGroot tied the match with six seconds left in the half.
DeGroot struck again in the 52nd minute to put the Catamounts ahead, and just seven minutes later, Sydney Remington connected on a feed from Aubrey Bough to seal Vermont’s spot in the America East title game.
