Renault is parting with a slice of its legendary collection. On December 7, at an Artcurial Motorcars auction in Flins, just outside Paris, 100 cars and dozens of unique artifacts linked to the French marque’s 125-year history will go under the hammer, as reported by 32CARS.RU. The sale is part of the run-up to the new Les Collections Renault museum, slated to open in 2027.The company plans to preserve around 600 one-of-a-kind pieces and send duplicates to auction. More than 90% of the lots will be offered with no reserve, which should make the event especially enticing for collectors. Among the highlights are a 1901 Renault Type D, a rare 1933 bus, twenty Formula 1 machines including the legendary RE40 associated with Alain Prost, plus icons like the Alpine A442, Renault 5 GT Turbo and Clio Williams.Beyond the cars, the catalog includes aerodynamic models, F1 engines, drivers’ helmets and original factory equipment.
