The Toronto Raptors go for their fourth straight win when they visit the Atlanta Hawks for the second time in this young season.

It was opening night when they last met, and it was the Raps who came out on top, grounding the Hawks 138-118 as 5.5-point road underdogs.

The sportsbooks are giving Toronto more respect this time around, setting them as 2-point pups, but my Raptors vs. Hawks predictions want to focus on RJ Barrett, who’s off to another great start this season.

Check out that and all my NBA picks for this Eastern Conference clash set to tip off on Friday, November 7.

Raptors vs Hawks prediction

Raptors vs Hawks best bet: RJ Barrett Over 3.5 assists (+115)

The Toronto Raptors’ new terrific trio of Scottie Barnes, Brandon Ingram, and RJ Barrett is starting to find their rhythm playing together.

They have won three in a row and hope to make it four when they visit the Atlanta Hawks for the second time in the early goings of this season.

The Raptors are playing better because those three are playing well together. All three are averaging better than 20 points per game while all shooting better than 50% from the field. Their versatility makes them hard to defend, but today I want to focus on Barrett.

He’s been doing it all this season, averaging 20.8 points while shooting nearly 40% from 3-point range. Barrett has also added 4.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game, and I like him to keep dishing out the dimes in this one.

Atlanta ranks a mediocre 16th in defensive rating, and that’s with one of the best defenders in the NBA in Dyson Daniels. They also rank 19th in opponent assists per possession. If the Raptors and Barrett move the ball well, Barrett should eclipse this number for the fifth time in nine games this season.

He’s also done it three of his last four, and in the last meeting against the Hawks. The plus money is the cherry on top.

Raptors vs Hawks same-game parlay

The Hawks have changed their style with Kristaps Porzingis starting at center this season. While it helps the offense by spacing the floor, it means they don’t have much of a presence in the paint, and it means they’ll have trouble guarding Raptors center Jakob Poeltl.

Poeltl missed a handful of games due to a back injury, but he’s back and immediately put up eight points in his return last time out. He scored 14 in the season-opening win against the Hawks, and tonight he’s got a point total of 7.5. The Over looks like a great addition to this SGP.

While the Hawks are also playing better heading into this matchup, the Raptors appear to be a tough matchup for them at this point. I like the Raptors to extend their winning streak to four, and am rounding this SGP out with the Toronto moneyline.
