The afternoon slate is packed with 10 games for Week 10, headlined by the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the early window and the Los Angeles Rams visiting the San Francisco 49ers in the late afternoon. With six divisional matchups on the day, there are plenty of games with potential playoff implications on the line.

The Patriots (7-2) and Buccaneers (6-2) don’t meet often, but this time they match up as two of the top teams in the NFL. New England leads the series 7-3 all-time, having beaten Tampa four of the last five times they played. The Patriots are winners of six in a row and are coming off a narrow victory over Atlanta last week, 24-23. Second-year quarterback Drake Maye has had an excellent start to his year, leading New England to a surprising lead over the Bills in the AFC East.

The New York Jets get their second win of the Aaron Glenn era by beating the Cleveland Browns, 27-20. Despite quarterback Justin Fields passing for just 54 yards, the Jets pulled out the victory, getting two special teams touchdowns on returns by Kene Nwangwu and Isaiah Williams. New York improved to 2-7 on the season.

Dillon Gabriel was sacked six times for the Browns, and the Jets’ Quincy Williams was responsible for four of them. Although it wasn’t a great game for Gabriel, completing only 53% of his passes for 167 yards, he did throw two touchdowns. Cleveland falls to 2-7 with the loss.

Baker Mayfield is the king of game-winning drives this year, but despite a last-minute touchdown to WR Tez Johnson (his second of the game), the Buccaneers weren’t able to mount the fourth-quarter comeback.

Tampa Bay attempted an onside kick, but it was recovered by Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs. Drake May kneeled it out to make their win official.

The Patriots now sit with an 8-2 record and extend their lead in the AFC East after the Dolphins notched a surprising upset over the second-place Bills in Week 10.

Just over halfway through the fourth quarter, MVP candidate Drake Maye had an opportunity to extend the Patriots’ lead over the Buccaneers after connecting with WR Mack Hollins on a 54-yard deep ball to set the team up at the goal line.

The opportunity didn’t pan out, though, as Maye threw an interception in the red zone into the arms of Buccaneers safety Tykee Smith.

The Bucs take over possession at their own 20-yard line, down five points with just over four minutes to go in the game.

Josh Allen, what happened? A wild quarterback sneak that went for 15 yards results in a … fumble-roooooski?! Just as the Bills were driving following a Tua Tagovailoa interception … tough luck, Buffalo.

It’s another lost fumble for the Bills, recovered by safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. The Dolphins take over at their own 38-yard line with a 10-point lead. There are just over seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

Whew, it was a brutal start for Buffalo in Week 10, failing to score a single point through the first three quarters of the game.

… but it’s never over until it’s over!

Josh Allen and the Bills have begun their attempt at a comeback, opening up the fourth quarter with their first scoring drive of the game.

Allen had three consecutive explosive plays, including a 24-yard pass to WR Tyrell Shavers and a 20-yard pass to TE Dawson Knox, capped off with a 35-yard touchdown to second-year WR Keon Coleman.

Coleman appeared to be off to a red-hot start this year with an 8-112-1 line in Week 1 to open up the season. However, he had failed to exceed 45 yards in a single game since prior to today.

The Bills went for two after the touchdown but were just shy of the goal line on a throw to Khalil Shakir. The Dolphins have a 10-point lead over the Bills with just under 13 minutes to go in the fourth quarter.
