Update 11/13: Sorry to all those who were hoping for a romance between DWTS alums Sasha Farber and Kaitlyn Bristowe, but it seems these two are, indeed, just friends. While chatting with E! News, Sasha confirmed that—while he’s “known Kaitlyn for so many years”—their flirty dance video was definitely not a “hard-launch.”
Oh, and by the way: He said he’s single at the moment and “still looking.” 👀
Original story 11/12: On top of gifting viewers with iconic moments and some behind-the-scenes drama, Dancing With the Stars has also spawned a ton of showmances over the years. Whether celeb contestants felt chemistry with their pro partners beyond the ballroom (or the dancers found love with each other), DWTS definitely has a hall of fame when it comes to cute couples. The latest rumored pairing: Sasha Farber and Kaitlyn Bristowe.
Though the former Bachelorette was partnered with Artem Chigvintsev during season 29 of DWTS (which she won, by the way!), fans are convinced that she and Sasha may have hard-launched a relationship, thanks to the flirty Instagram video they posted on November 7. “Stay forever @kaitlynbristowe,” Sasha captioned the clip, which she responded to with a comment, writing, “Stay forever he says as he kicks me out 5 mins later. Jk. Thanks for the dance lessons and FEAST.”
As their followers lost any ability to chill in the comments section, so did several DWTS alumni. “Ohhhhh I absolutely thought this was a hard launch 👀 Is it? It is right? Please tell me it is!!” Sharna Burgess wrote, while Peta Murgatroyd only fueled the rumors, writing, “Ummmmm ok” with a fire emoji.
Later, when asked about the dating rumors by Entertainment Tonight following the DWTS 20th anniversary episode on November 11, Kaitlyn decided to play it coy.
“I didn’t see the reactions, were people being like, ‘Hard launch,’ or something?” she asked the outlet, adding, “Sasha and I are very good friends… Every time I come to L.A., I hang out with him and see him. We always dance together. I didn’t know it sent people into a [tailspin].”
Sasha has yet to comment on the nature of their connection, but you already know we’ll be dancing with more details as they come.
