Angelina Jolie has never been one to shy away from switching up her style, which has evolved from edgy to elegant over the course of her storied career. So it’s no surprise that her children are equally open-minded when it comes to their looks — and the latest Jolie-Pitt kid to debut a daring, unfamiliar aesthetic is her youngest son, Knox.
17-year-old Knox, twin brother of Vivienne, was spotted in showing off a brand-new look in a recent video. shared by a fan account and taken at what appeared to be a Muay Thai match in some sort of school gym (he’s become known for engaging in the combat sport in recent months). In a major departure from the close-cropped, brunette hair he was seen sporting at a red carpet appearance alongside mom Angelina last year, Knox’s hair was a bit longer and died a light purple shade. He also wore a pair of glasses as he sparred, otherwise dressing casually in shorts and a t-shirt.
Commenters were quick to gush over Knox’s vibrant new ‘do.
“He’s so fine,” one person wrote, with a second adding, “ngl this hair looks [more] good on him than his natural hair.”
“Wow, he is mother’s twin,” declared someone else.
Whether or not Angelina practices Muay Thai as well isn’t clear, but she’s definitely shown her support for Knox’s athletic journey.
As The Blast reported, Knox’s passion for Muay Thai kicked into overdrive after he won the major IKF Point Muay Thai Technical competition just as he turned 17.
Mom Angelina was of course on hand to show her support as her son competed, though dad Brad Pitt was unfortunately not present to witness his son’s triumph.
According to People Magazine, Pitt currently has “virtually has no contact” with his older kids, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh, as they’re all over the age of 18; however, twins Vivienne and Knox do sometimes have visitations with their father on a “limited” basis.
