Dominik Szoboszlai has been one of Liverpool’s shining lights this season (and in some cases, Liverpool’s only shining light). The Hungarian midfielder has earned the honor of the October Goal of the Month and Player of the Month, in the club’s internal awards, a somewhat dubious honor in a terrible month for the Reds.

It has to be said that Szoboszlai himself has very little to do with Liverpool’s recent bad form, as the Hungarian has put in strong performances every week.

He scored his Goal of the Month goal in Liverpool’s 5-1 demolition of Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany, a second long-range effort from him that has earned plaudits. He beat out Mohamed Salah, Hugo Ekitiké, Cody Gakpo, and Cornelia Kapocs.
