Teams that can’t afford Tucker and still need left-handed power should be all over Cody Bellinger.

Heyman reported the New York Mets “will be looking at” Bellinger as they look to bolster their offense to compete for the National League pennant.

Bellinger would be a solid power replacement for Alonso if the Mets’ current first baseman departs in free agency.

A return to the Yankees shouldn’t be counted out either, especially if New York’s American League franchise doesn’t get involved with Tucker.

A stay in New York seems likely given the potential needs the Yankees and Mets have.

The Yankees might be more inclined, though, to give their young homegrown talent a chance, and if that is the case, the Mets are the better suitor, even if Alonso returns.

The Mets could place Bellinger in the outfield and have four power bats between Bellinger, Alonso, Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor in their best-case scenario.

Prediction: Bellinger lands with Mets
