AJ Lee returned to WWE RAW tonight to continue making Becky Lynch’s life miserable.

We haven’t seen AJ Lee on WWE programming since her in-ring return to the company back in September at Wrestlepalooza. But Lee returned tonight on RAW as Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch was trying to cheat to defeat Maxxine Dupri and retain her title.

Lee’s distraction was enough to give Dupri time to recover and surprise Lynch with a top rope crossbody pin to become the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion. Dupri celebrated her victory with Lee in the aisleway as Lynch looked on at both women, shocked.

As soon as the bell rings, Dupri lands a big boot and gets a long two count. Dupri goes up top. Lynch slams Dupri off the top and works over her arm. After the break, Dupri fires up and lands a flurry. Lynch and Dupri trade submission hold. Lynch almost taps to the Ankle Lock. Manhandle Slam by Lynch.

Dupri gets her foot on the rope. Lynch gets in referee Carr’s face, yet again. Lynch pokes the ref. Ref Carr bows up at Lynch. As the referee is distracted, Lynch tries to take off the turnbuckle pad. AJ Lee’s music hits. Lee skips to ringside. Lynch turns around and walks into a crossbody from Dupri! Dupri wins! Dupri wins!

What’s next for Becky Lynch and AJ Lee?

With open spots in the Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series, it would make a lot of sense to see Becky Lynch and AJ Lee join their respective teams to go to war once again later on this month.

Will that happen? Rhea Ripley, looking to speak with AJ Lee backstage, certainly appeared that way. But does WWE have other plans for these two women? It seems we’ll find out soon enough.
