Ratings of players in the NBA 2K, the leading basketball video game for several years, are always interesting.

With the upcoming edition, NBA 2K26, ready to hit the market in September, the latest ratings presented Giannis Antetokounmpo on top for the third time over the last four years.

Banking in a 98 rating, an individual high after the previous mark was set at 97, the Milwaukee Bucks leader shares first place with Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Following the Greek Serbian, and Canadian stars, Los Angeles Lakers teammates, Slovenian Luka Doncic and four-time NBA champion LeBron James are tied at 96 apiece. Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, and Anthony Davis of the Dallas Mavericks are set at 95.

French Victor Wembanyama was among the players rated at 94, alongside Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Donovan Mitchell of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Kevin Durant of the Houston Rockets, Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns of the New York Knicks have a rating of 93, with Kyrie Irving, Ja Morant, Cade Cunningham, and Evan Mobley at 92.

The 27th annual installment in the NBA 2K series since 1999 is scheduled to be released for multiple game consoles on September 5, one week after early access options on August 29. The latest announced enhancements stretch further realism of dribbling and movements to brand new playing modes.
