It’s been a historic 75th year of the LPGA Tour. With what seemed to be a different winner each week (only two players have won twice all season)—2025 has been a display of the depth in women’s golf.

And it all comes to a head this week at Tiburon Golf Club for the season finale, the CME Group Tour Championship. It’s a limited field event, headlined but the best players in the world, and the players who worked all year long to make it into this special week on Tour.

The Race to the CME Globe is the season-long competition that decides who will get to tee it up with this week with a whopping $4 million first place payout to the winner—the biggest in women’s golf history.

Last year, world No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul edged out Angel Yin on the final hole to seal the deal. But this year, Thitikul is also fighting for another honor, Player of the Year.

She’s currently leading rookie, Miyu Yamashita by just a few points in the race. Yamashita will have to win on Sunday in order to capture the award.
