Ukrainian tennis players Katarina Zavatska and Yulia Starodubtseva did not reach the semifinals of the ITF W75 doubles event in Sydney, Australia.
In the quarterfinal match, the Ukrainian duo lost to the top-seeded pair – Petra Gul and Elena Mitsich from Australia – 2:6, 3:6. The match lasted 1 hour and 5 minutes.
Zavatska and Starodubtseva played doubles together for the first time. In the first round, the Ukrainians defeated the Japanese duo Nagi Hanatani and Himari Sato – 6:1, 6:0.
Earlier, Ukrainian athletes also competed in the singles draw in Sydney.
