If multiple Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal is on the trade market, it’s being kept quiet. But rival execs do expect the Tigers to at least gauge the market for Skubal, who’s entering his walk year in Detroit with seemingly no hope of re-signing; they offered less than $80M for four years last winter, as The Post reported, (link) and he’ll surely seek a record pitching contract.

“I don’t have an answer to that yet!” responded one interested exec about Skubal’s availability. (Everything with Skubal, MLB’s top starter, comes with an exclamation point! He’s that good).

Among other top starters, the Marlins’ excellent Sandy Alcantara and Edward Cabrera (one or the other) plus the Nationals’ Mackenzie Gore are seen as pitching stars with a decent chance to be traded.
