Defensive back Chandler Jones has been added to the 2026 CFL Draft, per longtime CFL agent Fred Weinrauch.
The five-foot-eleven, 186-pound defender played 51 collegiate games at the University of Louisville and made 34 starts, recording 142 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, 24 pass knockdowns, three sacks, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles.
Jones told 3DownNation via text message that he was born in Miami, Fla. but qualified for Canadian citizenship through his mother, who was born and raised in Toronto, Ont.
The 25-year-old attended rookie minicamp with the Tennessee Titans after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft and most recently played for the Paris Musketeers of the ELF, recording three interceptions in four regular-season games. It was during his ELF stint that Jones learned he could qualify for Canadian status in the CFL.
Jones reportedly ran a 4.71-second forty-yard dash at his pro day in 2023, along with a 7.19-second three-cone drill and 4.35-second short shuttle. He also completed 14 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, leaped 30 inches in the vertical jump, and nine-foot, eight inches in the broad jump.
There is no official date set for the 2026 CFL Draft, though the event typically occurs in the last week of April.
