Unfortunately, the Last Time won’t be now for one WWE Superstar.

WWE has been hosting a The Last Time Is Now tournament, with the winner earning the right to face John Cena in his retirement match next month. The tournament saw surprise appearances from big names like Zack Ryder (Matt Cardona) and Dolph Ziggler (Nic Nemeth), but now the 16-man bracket is down a competitor due to injury.

WWE announced on social media that Sheamus is being pulled from the bracket due to a shoulder injury. The company did not announce any details about the severity of the injury or how it happened. However, more information about the updated bracket will be announced on SmackDown.

“BREAKING NEWS: Due to a shoulder injury, @WWESheamus is not medically cleared to continue competition in The Last Time is Now Tournament.”

Sheamus defeated Shinsuke Nakamura by pinfall to win his first round match in the tournament on the November 10 episode of RAW. He has wrestled since then, including participating in a six-man tag team match on Monday night. This match, which saw John Cena, Rey Mysterio and Sheamus defeat the Judgment Day, was also Cena’s last match on WWE RAW.

The two remaining matches in the first round, Carmelo Hayes vs. Bronson Reed and Penta vs. Finn Bálor, are scheduled to take place on Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
