The Denver Nuggets will have to maintain their strong start to the season with forward Aaron Gordon now sidelined with a hamstring injury, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported.

Gordon suffered a Grade 2 right hamstring strain during Friday’s game against the Houston Rockets. He is expected to be re-evaluated in four-to-six weeks.

This is the second starter that the Nuggets have lost for an extended period of time with Christian Braun also out with an ankle sprain.

Gordon is averaging a career high with 18.8 points and 44.4 per cent three-point percentage this season.

He had a memorable start to his season with a 50-point night in the Nuggets’ opener against the Golden State Warriors.
