A post by Qualcomm has revealed that the Google’s Pixel 10 series’ Quick Share feature that allows it to send files to iPhones will be coming to devices powered by Snapdragon. However, there’s no specific timeframe for when it will arrive.
The Pixel 10 and its siblings are the first Android smartphones to support sharing files to iPhones using Quick Share, and while Google says it is working on expanding the feature to other Android devices, Qualcomm has confirmed it will be coming to Snapdragon-powered smartphones.
The confirmation comes from a post on X by the official Snapdragon account. Quoting a post by the official Android account announcing the feature, the Snapdragon post says “Can’t wait for people to use this once enabled on Snapdragon in the near future.”
The post not only confirms that the feature won’t be exclusive to Tensor-powered smartphones such as the Pixel 10 (available on Amazon for $599), it also hints at it arriving on other devices soon. While MediaTek and Samsung have not said anything yet, the feature is also expected to be available on devices powered by MediaTek and Exynos processors.
Apart from smartphones, there’s a possibility that the feature will eventually be made available on other devices such as tablets and Chromebooks since these devices also have Quick Share.
