Love it or hate it, there’s things you want for yourself and gifts you want to buy. Think ahead and take advantage of Black Friday road and gravel deals and this is the time to save some money. We’ve done our best to find things we think are worth buying and happen to be on sale rather than things you should buy just because they are on sale. Keep scrolling to see what we found.

Rapha Pro Team Training Jersey (52% off)
Like many of the brands on this list, Rapha is having a 25% off sale for the whole site. What’s amazing is that there’;s also some great finds in the discontinued colors. The Pro Team training jerseys are some of the best on the market and this blue is hardly bargain basement fodder but there’s a full range of sizes and a crazy discount. Oddly, women’s option is a bit more expensive.
MAAP ALT_Road jersey (51% off)
Like a lot of these deals, there’s more available on the website. This one in particular might require some searching though. MAAP has a few fantastic deals but even the full price stuff doesn’t have a full range of sizes available. I spent time looking for the right deal and eventually landed here because I wear a size small in this jersey and it’s one my favorites for gravel cycling. The cut is a bit looser but it still does a good job keeping things in the pockets stable.
Capo Cycling SC Aero Jersey (50% off)
It’s entirely likely that you haven’t heard of Capo Cycling and that’s great about the brand. I looked at their gear as part of a roundup of Boutique Cycling Clothing Brands at Sea Otter. The gear is quality stuff and by going with a small brand you have the opportunity to wear something others aren’t. 50% off might make for a nice time to test how it works for you.
LeCol Pro Aqua Zero Long sleeve jersey (30% off)
There are other discounts on LeCol but it’s not a set discount across the site. The Pro Aqua jersey is one that I’ve spent in before so it’s what I am recommending. There’s not a ton to say other than it’s good solid jersey that you can wear in a lot of situations. It’s windproof and has DWR to deal with some rain.
Suunto Sonic Bone Conduction Headphones (40% off)
Sometimes on long rides you might want to listen to music or podcasts. Even if that’s what you choose to do, you don’t want to close yourself off from the outside world. Bone conduction headphones make it so you can still stay aware but also have music. If you decide to turn them off for a while you don’t have to stop and take them off or worry about losing them, it’s just an easy to press button. Of the available options, Suunto Sonic is just as good as more expensive options but at a great price. Fun colors are a bonus and 40% off an already budget item is a crazy good deal.
HUNT SUB50 Limitless Wheelset (40% off)
Hunt wheels have long been an amazing value in wheels but the performance isn’t something people always think of first. That’s a shame because Hunt is really an engineering led company and the wheels they make are some of the best from a performance perspective. There’s a ton of deals available on the site but I’m including this one because I was at the wind tunnel while these were tested. These are fast wheels and at 1380 grams for a roughly 50mm deep carbon wheel, they are light too.

Everything at Roka is on a heavy discount including performance glasses and even prescription choices. I’m picking Oslo 2.0 to highlight though. I made that choice because these are one of (actually 1 of 2) my favorite casual sunglasses. I love the style but they are also quite sticky and while not a performance cycling option they absolutely work on a bike.
Velocio LUXE bib short (30% off)
In our best women’s bib shorts buyers guide Lis says the Velocio Luxe bib short offers “a flattering, smoothing style that looks great on everyone. And performs even better.” Which is something I would echo. The Velocio Luxe uses incredible fabric that’s just heavy enough and feels amazing next to your skin. I love all the color options too.
Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 (30% off)
When it comes to bone conduction headphones, Shokz is the brand to beat. It’s the most well known and there’s a good reason. The latest OpenRun Pro 2 has a beautifully positive button press experience for the main start/stop button and the ability to choose the smaller band helps keep it from hitting your helmet. I also love that there’s no funky proprietary charging cable.
Assos Equipe RS/Dyora RS Spring Fall Jacket (30% off)
This is not the cheapest thing on offer at the Assos Black Friday sale but it’s a jacket I absolutely love. There’s a new version but there’s always a new version. This one is very similar and the basic concept is that Assos took a long sleeve jersey and a vest and merged them. The chest is insulated and wind proof while the arms and back allow heat to escape. One thing I love about these are the vents in the shoulder. As you lean over, in other words as you work harder, the vents catch more air to cool you and dry sweat.
Garmin Edge 540 (28% off)
There’s actually a new Garmin 550 available now. The new one has a speaker (instead of just a beep) and brighter screen. It also has less than half the battery life. If you prefer less charging, grab the older 540 at a great price.

Pearl Izumi Men’ Pro Alpha Layer (25% off)
Everything at Pearl Izumi is 25% but I am calling out this particular piece because it’s groundbreaking and everyone could use one. Sometimes I’ve seen it called a jersey but that’s not what it is. You wouldn’t be able to wear it on its own. The way to use it is as a midlayer between a baselayer of whatever weight you need plus a jacket of any kind you want. This piece adds insulation in the form of super light wonder material Polartec Alpha. It’s not a tight fit and there are pockets in case you want to match it with a jacket that lacks them.
Gorewear Spinshift Gore-Tex jacket (25% off)
Everything about this jacket is disappearing from the market so grab while you can. Gorewear is a sub-brand of Gore and associates. The smaller brand uses Gore materials to make running and cycling gear and it’s closing shop this spring. The material this uses is the latest waterproof breathable material known as Gore-Tex but without forever chemicals.. It’s the best you can find for riding in the rain but more and more companies aren’t making this type of jacket as people move to indoor cycling during the winter. This jacket is amazing for riding in the rain, grab it if you still head outside during the winter.
Sportful SuperGiara 2 Jacket (35% off)
Sportful seems to be shifting the company approach to Black Friday as it’s happening. Initially the whole site wass 25% off but now that’s disappeared with a move to higher discounts on certain items. The Supergiara jacket is one of them and this jacket is a piece that will go in the upcoming best jackets buyers guide because it’s different from anything else on the market. The exterior is a softshell that breathes well and will shrug off a considerable amount of rain, more than the last version of this jacket, while the interior is Polartec Alpha (more of the wonder material). What’s really interesting about this jacket though is all the pockets. There’s two on the chest plus three perfectly placed and just sized on the rear. I love the fit and there’s a dual zipper.
Sportful Winter Gloves (35% off)
Sharing one more Sportful piece because I want to make sure this surfaces while you browse. These gloves are so good I want to tell everyone about them. First of all, they are not waterproof and that’s fine because there is no such thing as a truly waterproof glove. These will shrug off light rain and more importantly they stop wind plus they have an incredible palm design. I normally dislike padding on cycling gloves because it creates hotspots. Sportful nails this and it feels you imagine all padding will feel.
Wahoo Kickr Bike Smart Bike (25% off)
There is nothing as good for indoor riding as an actual indoor smart bike. You don’t destroy a bike, you can endlessly fiddle with setup, and it’s always ready for you. Of the options that exist in this category, not a spinbike but a smart bike that’s more like a bike simulator, Wahoo makes some of the best. The Kickr Bike Shift leaves off the latest Zwift controllers and doesn’t move and up and down but it has all the essentials for half the price. Grab it during black Friday for an extra ~$600 off.
Trainingpeaks software subscription (25% off)
Something like MapMyRide is an excellent way to start tracking your progress and analyzing your data from every ride. If you want to take things a bit farther than that, the next step is working with a coach and that’s where Trainingpeaks shines. The brand has also added indoor riding simulation software more recently and that’s a draw in these winter months. Right now it’s a perfect time to start a structured training plan. 25% will make that a little less painful.
Ornot Grid Thermal Jersey (22%)
This is a sitewide 15% discount but this thermal grid jersey is something special both in use and because it’s a discount on top of a discount. I normally dislike long sleeve jerseys because they don’t stop wind and I still have to wear a jacket. This one is different though. This is really a midlayer. “The gridded fleece interior traps body heat between the layers” making for a perfect option over a heavy base layer and under a shell.
Sony WF-1000XM5 (21% off)

If you ride your bike with headphones then leaving a single earbud in is a popular choice. The advantage is that you can use something with better sound and more usability off the bike without two purchases. I’ve been testing these Sony headphones for a while now and they are absolutely incredible off the bike plus on the bike they won’t require constant readjustment and they have excellent Google Gemini integration. These will be in an upcoming buyers guide for sure, grab them on sale right now.
Factory Installed PRECISION 3+ & PRECISION 3+ PRO Powermeters (20% off)
The way the market currently sits, if you want a crank based powermeter for Shimano groupsets, the best option comes from 4iiii. For Black Friday the company is running two promos. There is 20% off Factory Installed PRECISION 3+ & PRECISION 3+ PRO Powermeters and there is 25% off Factory Second, Ride Ready PRECISION 3+ Powermeters. Garmin Venu X1 (18% off)
The Garmin X1 is a nearly brand new watch and seeing it pop up with a discount is a surprise.
It’s also perfect for cyclists. Cyclists don’t need to ride with a watch to get metrics. You’ve already got a heart rate monitor, a power meter, and GPS for speed and distance info. So go ahead and leave the watch at home. Once you do get home and off the bike though, you still want a watch to help fill in the full picture of training by keeping an eye on resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep, and other exercise. The thing is, that’s a different watch from a running watch. You want something you can wear all the time that looks great and has plenty of battery life. That’s where the Garmin Venu X1 fits in perfectly. Pair it with a Garmin bike computer in our list of best bike computers and the data in Garmin connect will combine seamlessly as you on and off the bike.
Insta360 GO Ultra (16% off)
With 4k footage you can really do anything you want with this camera but what I love is its ability to keep things simple. Put it on your jersey and all you do is click it on and off with a push. You can read more in my Insta360 Go Ultra review.
Priority Gemini Smart.Shift Gravel Bike (16% off)
Every bike that Priority sells is both quirky and belt driven. I posted a Priority Gemini Smart.Shift gravel review last spring and it might be the quirkiest of them all. It not only has a belt drive but it’s also a gearbox bike. What’s cool about it as a gravel bike is that there’s almost no maintenance required.
Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL8 (15% off)
I’ll be honest that I did not expect to find this. Specialized has some cargo bikes and mountain bikes for sale but hidden among them is one color of the current Tarmac. This is an incredible bike and a dream spec. This bike is a favorite of Alvin and he wrote a long term review recently where you can find out more info.
Insta360 X5 (15% off)
If you know someone that wants to share their rides with others, this is the absolute best action camera for use on a bike. I’ve spent years testing different options and nothing beats this. If you want to hold it the candybar shape makes it easy. If you want to chest mount it then the ability to reframe later means you never capture footage staring at the ground, and the mic is good enough you can hear it over the wind noise. There’s also a ton of good accessories for shooting cool video that looks like a drone is following a rider. You can read a bit more in my Insta360 X5 review.
SRAM Hammerhead Karoo GPS Bike Computer (12% off)
This is a bit of an odd deal because Amazon is reporting only a 12% discount but the Hammerhead website says that’s 20% off the list price and requires the use of a code. The price is the same so I’ve linked you to the simpler option. Either way, it’s a great deal on the bike computer that integrates best with SRAM but generally acts as much like a smartphone as a bike computer. Aventon Abound LR Ebike (10% off)
I’m not really the cargo bike guy here at Velo but I still love a good cargo bike story. More people bikes means less people in cars and that’s good for all kinds of reasons. Cargo bikes can get expensive though and Aventon offers some great value with quality bikes at decent prices. Right now this one is $200 and we covered it with a full Aventon Abound LR Ebike review where you can read more details about it.
Di2 button washer (10% off)
Caveat here, I picked one option that was a good deal at the time I clicked on it. Look for others as they are all the same and the prices shift. Whichever one you land on though, these things are tiny little washers that just make the Di2 button more prominent and easier to click. Alvin is in love and talked them up on the latest Velo Podcast.
GoPro Max2 Action Camera (10% off)
I’ve been a big proponent of 360 cameras as the best way to film adventures on a bike. This year the GoPro Max2 brought GoPro back to the table as a credible option. I’ve been testing this for a while and, while I’m not quite ready to share a review, what it does really well is full sun video and it’s excellent for mounting. I also love the loud beep that makes it easy to tell above the noise of wind that you are starting/stopping recording.
Litespeed Coll dels Reis (10% off)
This is basically a love letter to this bike. I’m in the middle of the review and I’ve been riding it all summer. It’s the lightest production titanium disc brake bike you can buy and it’s also handmade exactly for you. In case this range topper isn’t in your budget, Litespeed has deals all over the site.
