A WWE star suffered an injury during tonight’s November 24 episode of Raw, with the match being canceled midway through as a result.
Tonight’s WWE Raw hosted two quarter-finals in the ‘Last Time Is Now’ tournament to decide John Cena’s final opponent.
In the first match, GUNTHER defeated Carmelo Hayes.
GUNTHER was set to face the winner of the second semi-final tonight, which was Penta vs Solo Sikoa.
However, Penta vs Sikoa only went a few minutes before Penta suffered a legitimate injury.
Upon landing from a hurricanrana off the barricade on the outside of the ring, Penta appeared to injure his shoulder.
After that moment, it was ruled he couldn’t continue the match, and as a result, Solo Sikoa was given the win and he advances in the tournament to face GUNTHER in the semi-finals.
The injury to Penta comes just a couple of nights removed from the reunion of the Lucha Brothers with his brother Rey Fenix, with their first match together since joining WWE set for AAA Guerra de Titanes on December 20.
At that event, they were set to face Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano, collectively known as Los Gringos Locos 2.0.
