Toronto police are investigating after a man was stabbed near Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street in Toronto Tuesday evening.

A stabbing in the city’s Fairbank neighbourhood on Tuesday afternoon has left one man seriously injured.

Toronto police said a call came in just before 4 p.m. for a stabbing north of Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street.

Officers located a male victim in his 30s with stab wounds, and according to Toronto paramedics, they transported him to the hospital in serious, life-threatening condition.

In a subsequent update, police said the victim’s injuries had been deemed non-life-threatening.

Meanwhile, the male suspect fled on foot, possibly headed south from Roselawn Avenue, police said.

They have a limited description of him, saying he was wearing a red hat.
