Brodie Lee Jr. reveals whether the AEW contract he signed in 2020 still exists.
Lee Jr. signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling during his father’s health battle. After Brodie Lee passed away, his family appeared on screen to honor his memory. The 13-year-old is not currently signed to any promotion.
Speaking to The Wrestling Classic in a new interview, Brodie Lee Jr. revealed that the contract he signed will come into effect when he turns 18. He further clarified that the deal gives him the option — not the obligation — to sign with AEW once he becomes of legal age.
“I’m not signed,” he said. “Everybody thinks I’m signed. I’m not signed. The deal was, when I turn 18, if I want that contract, it is always open. The only thing I really signed was a — it was that, and I also signed a random, like, contract for when I turned 18: me vs. Mox in a death match.” [H/T f4wonline.com]
Brodie Lee Jr. has trained with Natalya and TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd) at their Dungeon 2.0 facility. In addition to AEW, he has also appeared in Ring of Honor and Game Changer Wrestling. Junior is a huge fan of Cody Rhodes and even received the American Nightmare’s weight belt at WWE WrestleMania 39.
