Basketball stars Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers are among a stellar line-up named for the next USA national women’s training camp.
After missing the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Clark will return to the team that is preparing for the 2026 FIBA World Cup in Berlin.
Coach Kara Lawson has also included five Olympic gold medal winners from the team that competed in France.
Among them are Jackie Young, Brittney Griner, Chelsea Gray, Kelsey Plum, and Kahleah Copper.
The bronze medallist from the same Games in the 3×3 basketball discipline, Dearica Hamby has also made the 18-player training camp.
Besides the two leading WNBA figures Clark and Bueckers, the senior national team camp at the Duke University in Durham, North Carolina between 12-14 December will also mark the debuts for six other players from the elite North American league. There’s Cameron Brink, Veronica Burton, Sonia Citron, Kiki Iriafen, Rickea Jackson, and Angel Reese.
Team USA will look to defend their FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup crown from 4-13 September 2026.
