In tonight’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode, Abhira is left stunned when she spots Maira dressed in Pookie’s outfit. Geetanjali notices the change and questions Maira about it. Innocently, Maira declares that she wants to be Pookie for Abhira. Taken aback by the child’s gesture, Abhira is overwhelmed but chooses to step back emotionally, fearing that Maira might form a bond too deep with her, which could eventually cause complications for Armaan and Geetanjali.

When Maira once again asks Abhira for a hug, Abhira pulls away, gently directing her to go to her parents instead. Maira, confused by the cold response, asks Abhira what she did wrong. In a firmer tone, Abhira tells her to go to Geetanjali. Upset, Maira accuses Abhira of being mean and even blames her behaviour for losing Pookie. Abhira is left speechless by this unexpected comment.

Armaan, witnessing the exchange, gets angry at Maira for her harsh words towards Abhira. In tears, Maira says both Abhira and Armaan are unkind, claiming Geetanjali is the only one who truly loves her. A heartbroken Abhira walks away from the scene.

Elsewhere, Kiara urges Abhir to call Charu, sensing he has something to say to her. However, Abhir avoids making the call. Kiara begins to suspect that he is keeping something from her.

Back at home, Dadi (Dadu) confronts Abhira, saying she was too harsh on Maira despite the child’s sweet efforts. Abhira explains that creating emotional distance was important, as letting Maira get attached would be unfair to Geetanjali and Armaan. Unbeknownst to her, Armaan and Geetanjali overhear the conversation.

Geetanjali later expresses gratitude to Abhira for her sensitivity and understanding. Abhira then retrieves the dress that once belonged to Pookie. Meanwhile, Kiara questions her presence at the Poddar residence while everyone else is at the Goenka house.

In a parallel track, Abhir quietly performs Charu’s last rites. During this, Kiara discovers that Charu had cancer. Abhir pleads with her to keep this truth hidden from Sanjay and Kajal.

Later, Abhira reflects on her interaction with Maira and regrets the way she handled it. Anshuman comforts her. Abhira shares her decision to stop searching for Pookie, believing Maira’s words were a painful truth. Anshuman tries to reason with her, insisting children sometimes speak impulsively, but Abhira remains convinced that Maira’s accusation carried weight. She declares her journey to find Pookie has come to an end.

Armaan, trying to help Maira understand her mistake, explains how people who love you sometimes scold you too. Maira argues that only parents have that right. Armaan points out that even Geetanjali scolds her, yet she doesn’t mind it. Maira says that’s because Geetanjali is her family, while Abhira is just a stranger. Despite Armaan’s urging, Maira refuses to apologise to Abhira.

On another front, Manoj attempts to secretly record Krish’s confession by provoking him with anti-Armaan remarks. However, Krish quickly catches on to Manoj’s strategy and skillfully dodges the trap, deciding to take matters into his own hands when it comes to Armaan.

Abhira, firm in her resolve, reiterates to Kaveri that she will no longer continue the search for Pookie. Kaveri asks if she’s certain, to which Abhira replies that she has no other option. Her mind drifts back to memories with her daughter, bringing tears to her eyes.
