Thousands of vehicles have just been recalled in Canada due to a software issue.
“On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause infotainment system display to remain blank when the vehicle is started,” Transport Canada said in a notice.
“As a result, when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear, the rearview camera image would not appear on the display.”
The recall is from Nissan and affects the following models:
2025 and 2026 Infiniti QX80
2025 and 2026 Nissan Armada
2025 Nissan Murano
Only certain trim levels are impacted.
There are 3,700 vehicles that are affected in Canada.

“A rearview camera image that doesn’t display could reduce a driver’s ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash,” the notice said.
Transport Canada said that the company will be notifying owners by mail and advising them to take their SUV to a dealership for a software update.
