One person is in hospital after a car crashed into a heavy forklift in Scarborough overnight at a McCowan and Nugget Ave. construction site.

One person suffered serious injuries after crashing into a piece of equipment at a construction site in Scarborough.

The incident happened on McCowan Road and Nugget Avenue, near Sheppard Avenue East.

Paramedics said one male was taken to a trauma centre for treatment. His injuries are serious but non-life-threatening.
