As Galaxy S26 leaks have started to mound, one more added to the pile indicates that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could decrease in thickness. It might not get a bigger battery, but charging speed could increase up to 60W. That, among display, and camera changes, may prompt some excitement for the company’s most expensive slab phone.

There have been several indications that Samsung is looking to really change things up. That ranges from naming schemes for the flagship trio to the possible lack of S Pen digitizer in upcoming devices to save on Galaxy S26 thickness. That, in itself, might not be exciting, but Samsung seems to be putting a lot of work into what the Ultra means for users.

According to a leaked spec list posted by @UniverseIce on Twitter/X, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will carry a charging capacity of 5,000mAh. This falls in line with previous leaks, though it’s really up in the air. Other competing and reliable information suggests the device may have a 5,500mAh battery with 65W charging.

This is what we currently know about the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra:

The body will become even thinner at 7.x mm, with slightly increased width and height, while weighing a few grams less

Either way, that’s a significant speed increase. This is one of the higher speeds we’ve seen out of a company that doesn’t often like to take big battery risks.

Rumors have been competing on battery details for some time. It was originally thought that battery capacity would remain the same, but that information might not prove to be true. That’s the nature of leaked information.

With that, it seems the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be in the 7.Xmm thickness range, down from 8.2mm. There’s no telling if that means 7.9mm or 7.0mm, but it’s a change nonetheless. Previous rumors indicate that Samsung may remove the S Pen digitizer to decrease the phone’s size and bring Qi2 magnets into play. That would line up with the current leak, though it’s all still unconfirmed.

The post also corroborates the rumor that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will carry an unchanged 200MP camera sensor with a larger aperture. The source post adds some background information, noting that the 5x lens will get a bigger aperture, as well. There may also be a new 3x sensor.

The phone will house a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and will power One UI 8.5. This follows Samsung’s plans to launch fresh One UI versions on foldables, with much larger UI and UX changes on the “.5” releases with the Galaxy S series.

Are you looking forward to a Galaxy S26 Ultra with a more approachable thickness?
