After pulling out a last-second victory over the Raptors in Toronto on Thursday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will be right back at it on Friday night as they’re set to take on the Celtics in Boston.

The Lakers will be without star guard Luka Doncic for a second consecutive game, as he’s away from the team for personal reasons. They will also likely be without star forward LeBron James.
LeBron James listed as ‘doubtful’ for game against Celtics
James is listed as “doubtful” for the game in Boston due to sciatica recovery and left foot joint arthritis. Considering that the game in Boston comes on the second night of a back-to-back, it’s unlikely that James will play. The team plans to work James, 40, up to playing in back-to-backs after an extended layoff to start the season, but he’s not there yet.

James played 36 minutes against Toronto on Thursday night and tallied 11 assists, 8 points and 6 rebounds. Due to his limited point production, James saw his record-setting scoring streak come to an end. James had scored in double figures in 1,297 consecutive games prior to the game against Toronto, dating back to January of 2007.
After the game, James didn’t seem too concerned about the streak coming to an end. He was more concerned with the fact that the Lakers won the game.
“None. We won,” he replied when asked if he had any feelings about his streak ending.
Since he’s unlikely to play against the Celtics, James will have to wait until Sunday in Philadelphia to start a new double-digit scoring streak.
