Emmanuel Danso vs Austin Aokuso
Austin Aokuso is currently in action in the final of the two preliminary fights before the main card gets underway.
He’s fighting Sydney boxer Emmanuel Danso and giving him a solid belting at the moment, showing some nice speed and accuracy.
He is towering over his opponent too, which doesn’t hurt – and he is making that reach and height advantage count.

Prelims start with a bang
The early fights are well underway here at the Gold Coast Convention Centre.
And they started with an absolute thriller, with Jessica Adams and Taylah Gentzen throwing their hands at each other with more abandon than an England opening batter.
For me, Gentzen had the better of it, landing the cleaner shots and really rocking the head of Adams repeatedly, bloodying her nose in the process.
And the judges agreed, scoring the fight 79-73, 78-74 and a rather tight 77-75.

Good afternoon boxing fans and welcome to the Gold Coast Convention Centre here in Queensland for what is set to be an absurdly packed night of fight action, culminating in Jai Opetaia’s eighth defence of The Ring cruiserweight title against Hüseyin Cinkara.
My name is Simon Smale and I am tucked away in the corner of the sold out arena this evening to bring you all the action as it happens on the glitter strip.
It’s not full yet, but it will be, and will likely be raucous if the amount of noise the small number of people here at the moment are making.
So strap yourself in and get ready for the fists to fly as the Ring of Fire gets underway.
