Lifetough Kids Boxing Club hosted its semi-annual child safety seminar Sunday at Centerpoint Logistics Center in Franklin Park, near Chicago O’Hare.
CHICAGO (WLS) — More than 100 kids and teens got real world exposure to active shooter, kidnapping and bullying scenarios at Centerpoint Logistics Center in Franklin Park, near O’Hare Airport.

First responders, military personnel, law enforcement and volunteers run the intense, real-world drills to help children respond and build muscle memory if they find themselves in one of these situations.
Participants run through the drills repeatedly until they are successful in the way they respond to the threat.
Parents and coaches at the child safety seminar said these scenarios help instill confidence and situational awareness in their children.
Lifetough Kids Boxing Club has hosted the trainings for more than a decade.
