The St. Louis Blues have claimed winger Jonatan Berggren off waivers from the Detroit Red Wings, while the Boston Bruins have added defenceman Vladislav Kolyachonok off waivers from the Dallas Stars.

In other waiver activity, the Vancouver Canucks waived forward Arshdeep Bains, who has one goal and five points in 26 games this season, and Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Laurent Brossoit cleared waivers.

Brossoit clears waivers. St. Louis claims Berggren from Detroit. Boston claims Kolyachonok from Dallas.

And Vancouver puts Bains on waivers today.

Berggren has two goals and six points in 15 games with the Red Wings this season. The 25-year-old was selected 33rd overall by Detroit in the 2018 draft.

Berggren posted 15 goals and 28 points in 67 games as a rookie with the Red Wings in 2022-23. After spending most of 2023-24 in the AHL, he posted 12 goals and 24 points in 75 games last season.

He joins a Blues team that has scored just 86 goals this season, the third-lowest total in the league.

Kolyachonok, 24, has one goal and two assists in 11 games with the Stars this season. He also has three assists in 10 AHL games this season.

Selected in the second round of the 2019 draft by the Florida Panthers, Kolyachonok has appeared in 85 career games with the Arizona Coyotes, Utah Mammoth, Pittsburgh Penguins and Stars.

The Bruins now have eight defencemen on their active roster, in addition to having Henri Jokiharju and Michael Callahan on injured reserve, as well as Jordan Harris on LTIR.
