The Hope Golf & Country Club has been significantly compromised by the atmospheric river that recently hit British Columbia.
Global News reports the weather phenomenon created a new channel of the Coquihalla River which cut through the golf course at the eighth hole and made its way through the fourth green and seventh fairway. The club’s president says the new “river” has isolated both the seventh green and eighth tee.
The club, which is maintained by volunteers, is asking the provincial government for help after the devastation.
